Job description, responsibilities and duties
Provide the necessary dimensional engineering skills to the engineering department to support Tower in achieving optimal levels of safety, quality, productivity and delivery to assure internal and external customer satisfaction.
Intermediate to advanced level position where colleague has reached competency in the discipline. Understands and applies concepts. Performs varied and more complex tasks, using independent judgment with minimum supervision. Makes decisions within broad parameters. May mentor less experienced colleagues.• Support the Company’s mission, vision, values and goals in performance of daily activities.
• Provides key input into the development of departmental strategic goals along with identifying key measurable to support the departmental goals.
• Provide new product dimensional engineering.
• Facilitates conflicts, change management and priority setting with respect to part processes and tolerances.
• Develops prototype and production measurement plans.
• Responsible for check fixture design and builds to meet program timing and product print/CAD model requirements.
• Participates in the initial development of control plans.
• Acts as an internal resource for manufacturing, sales and other departments.
• Supports customer meetings and build events to improve design / manufacturing methods.
• Develops Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerance (GD&T) and measurement points for components and assemblies.
• Develops prototype and production measurement plans.
• Guides Gage Repeatability (GR) and Reproducibility (GR&R) evaluations.
• Guides detail and assembly data reviews with evaluation.
• Verifies technical capabilities and supplier capacity for sourcing check fixtures.
• Supports program builds at integrator, customer and internal sites.
• Responsible for adhering to all internal and OSHA required safety procedures in performing daily work activities.
• Maintain high standards of housekeeping throughout the work area.
• Maintain a positive working relationship with all levels of the organization.
• Adherence to all company policies and procedures (ex. Quality Policy Manual, Colleague Handbook, Level II Procedures etc.)

• Ability to read and write in English and perform mathematical calculations.
